At 9.30am on Thursday, March 21, a grey Mazda RX8 allegedly drove away from the Puma Service Station without paying for $60 worth of fuel.
Police later identified a vehicle travelling through Moree in an allegedly dangerous manner, including disobeying road signs and travelling in excess of the signposted speed limit, as well as crossing double lines.
After making a number of enquiries, police attended a Florence Street address where they arrested a 27-year-old man.
The man was taken to Moree Police Station where he was charged with obtaining benefit by deception, driving in a dangerous manner and driving whilst disqualified. Police allege the 27-year-old is disqualified from driving until 2024.
He was also charged with revocation of a parole warrant.
The man was bail refused at Inverell Local Court on Friday, March 22 and is due to appear at Moree Local Court on May 6.
