The Tamworth bush balladeer is harking back to his youth, with a show that brings the best of the 1970’s back to the stage.
“People tell me all the time the songs remind them of when they were dating, married, pregnant – whatever was happening at that time it takes them back,” he said.
It’s a trip down memory lane and more of an emotional experience than a visceral one.

“Rather than doing what I was doing for a long time, which was trying to impose my own music on an audience that’s not interested, it’s so much more satisfying to play songs people get a kick out of.”
The Eagles, James Taylor, Ross Ryan and Rodriguez are just some of the classics Buchan interprets.

“I’m not into making people move, I’m into making people get goosebumps and I love to hold those notes a bit longer.”
