About 10pm on Wednesday, September 19 a vehicle was illegally driven onto a property on the Watercourse Road, Mungindi, where several gun shots were let off.
The Rural Crime Prevention Team and New England Police District take illegal hunting seriously, with offenders facing up to 10 years imprisonment for discharging a firearm whilst trespassing.
Proactive operations are regularly taking place across the District and police strongly encourage landholders to continue reporting incidents when they occur.
