An information session for parents and carers to help them keep their children safe on the internet will be hosted by the Moree Community Library on Monday, September 3 from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

Moree Community Library coordinator Samantha Geatches said the session will include information on social media and sharing content online, privacy and parental controls, cyber bullying, managing screen time and where to get help.

“We are providing an overview of internet safety and giving parents practical assistance for monitoring and protecting their children’s online usage, as well as useful resources and tips to be smart, safe and responsible online,” she said.
September 2 to 8 is National eSmart Week and Big Sky Libraries is in the process of becoming accredited as eSmart Libraries which is a cyber safety framework designed to fully equip libraries, staff and library users with the skills they need for smart, safe and responsible use of digital technology.
