“They have supported businesses for years and in this difficult time, it’s our turn to help them and give them support…
“If small businesses start giving a little bit for the sake of the farmers, that will be a big help.
“Unfortunately, this will not sort out the problem; however, with a little help it will give them strength to pass this drought.”
The forum is one of a series being organised by the R U Aware We Care group.
They will bring together agencies and experts on mental health, government assistance, tax, employment and more.
Although there’s more detail to come about bookings and programs, the forums are planned for:
- Attunga hall, August 7;
- Narrabri RSL, August 8;
- Moree RSL, August 9;
- Inverell RSM, August 14; and
- Glen Innes Services Club, August 15.
