The regular course is a 200m swim, 12km ride and 2km run, while the short/beginner course is a 100m swim, 6km ride and 1km run.
There’s also a kids’ course which consists of a 50m swim, 500m ride and 250m run.
The triathlons are held every Sunday (except December 24 and 31) until mid-April at 6.30am for a 7am start at Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre, with members meeting on the Gosport Street side of the pool.
Anyone is welcome to come along and give triathlons a go, with the friendly club always welcoming new members. Secretary Lucy Shorter said it’s is a great sport for those wanting to test themselves.
“It’s great fitness and enjoyable,” she said.
“It’s not a team sport so you can train when you can. You’re also only competing against yourself. We have a good group of people, so it’s a great social outing.”
