Multiple bonfires, and hundreds of children brandishing glow sticks lit up the night sky as the almost 1500 guests from Narrabri, Collarenebri, Moree and the surrounding villages settled in for an evening of entertainment.
You truly have to experience Rowena Cracker night to believe it, hundreds of cars parked in what appears to be the middle of nowhere, and more people than you could possibly imagine descending on the Rowena Shire Hall with eskies, prams, and picnic rugs in tow.
Then there is the spectacular fireworks display and live entertainment by one man band Luke Vassella.
Entry included a BBQ dinner and access to the coveted supper table, cooked and manned by local volunteers and preschool parents.
Rowena Preschool runs from 9.00am to 3.00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays and offers playgroup to children under the age of three on preschool days to enable young mothers and children opportunities to network and socialise.
The funds raised from the cracker night go towards the running costs of the preschool as well as funding the two staff members.
