“We had approximately 600 participants this year which was slightly up on last year’s numbers, however it was great to see a lot more children participating this year,” PCYC manager, Andrew Ryan said.
“We had such a variety of people, which we felt showed a great reflection of the diversity of our club. The whole day was a huge success, but nothing tops the youth attendance.”
The sole purpose of this event is to raise funds for the youth of the Moree community and to give them more opportunities.
“To see them all involved in the event itself was a dream. The smiles on their little faces spoke a thousand words and that was an extremely heart-warming feeling as an employee to see our club achieving our mission and our purpose.

“There was nothing more rewarding than that. The feedback from the day has been overwhelming in such a positive way.
“It was great to deepen our partnership with the NSW Police Force who were actively involved both prior and during the event,” Mr Ryan said.
Barwon LAC took part in the run and participated in the tug-o-war challenge against the PCYC Gym Boys.
“The LAC came out on top, but to see everybody there cheering them on was just sensational to watch.

“There was so many partnerships developed and relationships made on the day and we cannot thank our community enough for their constant backing. This community really is one of a kind and we are so grateful as a club to have their support,” Codie Kennedy, Trainee Club Manager PCYC Moree said.
Organisers have now begun preparation for the 2017 event and hope they can bring in a few new ideas.
