With sunshine forecast, vice president Simon Dunlop said there were plenty of activities organised to ensure the day was attended by as many as possible.
“Every year we choose a different charity and this year it’s Cystic Fibrosis Queensland,” Dunlop said.
“We’re going to raise money and we’re doing a luncheon and will be running raffles as well. We can make a fair bit of money from days like this,” he said.
“There will also be merchandise stands and we’ve got special hats made up which will be on sale as well. Ladies will be given free entry.”
After having his new-born son diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, Dunlop said it was something which was close to his heart before deciding to make the whole day about awareness.
“I originally just asked to get a donation box at the gate, but now they’ve given me the whole day to raise some funds. That’s the main driving reason.
“First grade are playing in a one-off jersey that we’ll be auctioning off after the game and everything raised will go to CFQ.
“The players or families can bid for their own jerseys if they want.
“We’ll also get the boys from the other grades to all sign the one jersey from their games and we’ll auction them off as well.”
The club hasn’t set any immediate goals for the day other than to say any donation, big or small, would be appreciated.
“We’ve already had a couple of big donations from various organisations to get us started and we’ll be auctioning off the first grade jerseys at the completion of their game,” Dunlop said.
On the field, the Bulls will try to keep a stranglehold on the minor premiership in first and second grade when they clash with Gunnedah.
“They have been reasonably good in previous seasons but they’re going through a tough patch at the moment.
“We’ve got three tough games leading into the finals so it’ll be a good gauge to see where we’re at,” Dunlop said.
Under 18s kick off at 12.30pm, second grade at 1.45pm and first grade are scheduled to kick off at 3.15pm.
