The 23-year-old takes on highly-rated New Zealand heavyweight Kiki Leutele on Friday night at Brisbane's Nissan Arena in the first of what promoter Dean Lonergan plans to be four big fight nights in six months.

Lonergan said Tyson Fury, holder of the WBC heavyweight title, and current WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight title-holder Oleksandr Usyk likely had several fights ahead of them in the next 12 months where they could make "anywhere between $50 million and $100 million per fight".

"They will be 35 and 36 by then and we don't think they will be going for too much longer so we want to put Justis into the number two or three position by August or September of next year and in position to win those guys' belts should the opportunities arise," Lonergan told AAP.

"Realistically we are going to put Justis on a very, very fast but strategic track.

"Leutele is a big fight because he is very durable. If Justis can achieve what we hope he can and knock him out it will put a really big statement out there to say he is really moving ahead.

"We are looking at December 16 for his next fight against an opponent we are not prepared to name just yet. Then we are looking at another fight in February-March and then another in April-May so it a fairly hectic schedule."

Huni trained recently at the Los Angeles gymnasium of Justin Fortune who is the former trainer of Manny Pacquiao. Fortune has said Huni possesses the same speed and strength as Pacquiao, but is even meaner.

He has flown to Brisbane to assist Huni ahead of the Leutele fight and said getting his schedule right in the months ahead was crucial.

"It is a big chess match to put him in position to have the proper fights to have a shot at a world title," Fortune told AAP.

"Some of these guys have had 20 or 30 fights and are experienced. They will take you out in the deep water and drown you so you have to be careful how fast you move him.

"Justis is 23 and won't peak until he is 26 to maybe 30."
