Noble, the indefatigable founder of Bluesfest, has announced the line-up for the 32nd Byron Bay Bluesfest, now running October 1-4, with Midnight Oil as the opening night headliner on Friday, October 1.
"Midnight Oil headlined Bluesfest in 2001, just before their extended hiatus," Noble says.
"It has always been my ambition to once again present the 'holy grail of Australian artists' at Bluesfest and have approached them every year, redoubling my efforts since their reformation in 2017. And now, to have Midnight Oil headline our opening night and launch their new album - it's a dream come true."
Bluesfest, postponed on the eve of its annual show at Easter due to COVID concerns, will run October 1-4 at the Byron Events Farm (formerly the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm).
