It's the first time the Humphries family had entered the competition, having only recently moved into their new house on Greenbah Road.
"As a family, we were so excited to win first place," Trish Humphries said.
"It is very hard work to put Christmas lights up on a two storey house, so I was very happy to win.
"We entered the competition this year because it was our first Christmas in our new house. We only moved six weeks ago."
As winners, the Humphries family will receive a $200 Love Local gift card.
Previous winners, Lloyd and Edna Benge, placed second in the 2020 competition for their lovely display at 5 Broadwater Place, Moree, winning a $150 Love Local gift card.
Jimmy Bryans also won a $50 Love Local gift card for his display at 33 Dover Street, Moree which came in third place.

"Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Benge and to Mr Bryans," 11-year-old Moses Humphries said.
"I loved looking at your lights.
"Thank you to everyone who voted for our lights this year. I loved handing out candy canes to everyone that drove past. I appreciate it. Thank you!"
Second place winner Lloyd Benge thanked everyone who voted for his family's display.
"It brightened our year to see families driving past and seeing the smiling children," he said.
"As past winners we'd like to congratulate the Humphries family, Jimmy Bryans and everyone else who entered."
First-time entrant Jimmy Bryans said he was "stoked" to place third considering "there were some pretty good lights around this year".
"We thought we would throw our hat in the ring," he said.
"Considering there is a lot of organising, so we thought we would support it, this is our first year."
Mr Bryans said he put up lights because his first grandson Lux was home from Mackay for his first Christmas, along with his son Jaylan and his three granddaughters - Tabby, Ainsleigh and Hadleigh. Mr Bryans also had two nephews, Chase and Aiden, visiting from Tasmania, as well as his other nephews Carter and Jagger who would stop in to see the lights each night.
"It was great," he said.
"We would like to thank Tanya Fitch for organising the competition and the rest of the entrants and a big thanks for the people that voted for us and to the Humphries family for winning it and the Benge family for coming second and all the other entrants and the local community for supporting the competition."
This year a new category was added to the competition for the best decorated street.
The winning street has been named Paramellowa Street in Pallamallawa, which will have a street sign, "Best Christmas Lights 2020", added to their existing street pole.
2020 is the fifth year that the Moree Thumbs Up Thumbs Down Facebook Group has run the Christmas light competition, which was once again kindly supported and sponsored by Moree Plains Shire Council.
Moree Thumbs Up Thumbs Down administrator Tanya Fitch congratulated all the winners and thanked those who took the time and effort to enter and vote.
"This year's competition had more entries than previous years," she said.
"There were fifteen entries in Best Individual Residence Display category and eight entries in the Best Decorated Street category. The Best Decorated Street is a newly added category and it received great support.
"It was wonderful to see the efforts and the stunning light displays that locals put up during the festive season.
"I know it has been a stressful year for everyone with the current pandemic, as well as frequent thunderstorms during the competition period making it difficult to keep displays intact and people to drive around to look at all of them.
"I would also like to extend the deepest gratitude and thanks to the Moree Plains Shire Council for the wonderful prize donations for the annual competition.
"Without their ongoing support, the competition would not go ahead."
