There were some big hitters in round eight of Moree and District Cricket Association's 2020 competition, with three centuries scored on Saturday.

Round eight saw the Amaroo Tavern Vikings take on Soapy Rowe, Colts come up against the Salvos Strikers and the Ag Flow Stallions face Moree Golf Club where it was 38 degrees for most of the day.
The Vikings won the toss and elected to bat posting 186 from their 35 overs against an undermanned Soapy Rowe.
The Vikings built their innings on solid contributions from Jones (54) and West (48*).
Newman was extremely economical with the ball going for 22 from his 7 overs, Johnson (2-29) and Adam French (2-36) were also effective.
The run chase was a close one. Soapy Rowe were 5-81 before the last two batsman put an unbeaten 106-run stand to win the game. French (54*) and Newman (50*) were the difference in what was an incredible performance.
A. Annis-Brown 3-34 bowled well but it just wasn't enough.
The Colts batted first and posted 7/272 with young gun Ed Montgomery smashing 139.
Montgomery was given a few chances with the Strikers missing their opportunities and he made the most of it striking 19 boundaries and 1 six.
Vanderstok (34) and I Barnes (19*) stuck with him as they destroyed the Strikers bowlers.
B Swan (2-49) and B Wright (2-37) were the best of the bowlers.
In reply the Salvos Strikers were only able to manage 123 with young guns J Annis-Brown top scoring with 34 and B Swan (28*).
T Hayton (5-27) and T Barnes (2-27) did the job with the ball.
Ag Flow Stallions batted first amassing 3/326.
B Day hit his second century for the competition smashing 118 (42) and B Legg making 101* (75).
J Lawton also hit 92 (52) in what was a runfest.
The Moree Golf Club were undermanned and bowlers didn't have much to celebrate - A Ha (1-22) and M O'Donnell (1-55).
In reply the Golf Club scored 7/184.
J Boland 52 and A Ha 34 did well with the bat.
B Day followed up his batting with 4/32 to secure the win for the Stallions.
Round nine sees Salvos Strikers taking on the Moree Golf Club, Ag Flow Stallions play the Amaroo Tavern Vikings and the Colts face Soapy Rowe before finals next week.
