Moree Suns president Ashley Jones said he was "really happy" with his side's performances on the day.
"The boys played really well, especially taking some of the younger juniors up there," he said.
"They definitely performed well so that was good."
Daniel Brown was the standout performer on the day, with Hawks president naming him the unofficial player of the day, and Jones agreed.
"He had a blinder," Jones said.
Branden Barker was also one of the Suns best, but Jones said "everyone played really well."
"Everyone played really well together considering not having many opportunities to gel together at training but they all played really well together," he said.
"But yeah Brando and Danny really stood out on the day."
The Suns will continue preseason training on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm at the Moree Showground. The AFL North West season kicks off on April 18, with the Suns-Eagles joint venture to host the New England Nomads.
