The one day competition is over, and it's time for the shorter form to begins, as the Moree and District Cricket Association prepares to kick off its twenty20 competition this weekend.

After a successful 40 over competition, where Stallions once again proved too good, nine teams will now compete in the twenty20 matches, up from eight in the 2019 twenty20 competition.

Camurra Crows will look to back up their win in last year's competition, where they defeated Agri Storage in the A grade grand final.

The Crows will kick off their campaign against Colts on Saturday, who were beaten by Rangs in the B grade grand final a season ago.

After taking out the B grade final in the 40 over competition, the Amaroo Tavern Vikings will be hoping to go one step further in the shorter form.

The Vikings won the C grade final in the 2019 twenty20 competition, and will go up against the D grade final winners Pally Pub Bulls.

After going down to the Stallions in the 40-over A grade final, Soapy Rowe face off against Balcony Boys, who had a tough time in last year's twenty20 competition, unable to register a win.

In the final game of the opening round, Boars will go up against SHAE, with both teams new additions to the 2020 competition.

Golfies have the bye to kick off their campaign. All games will begin at 1pm at Ron Harborne Oval.
