Former Gunnedah girl Lucy Ravenwood (nee Amos) will stage the event, which is hoped to become a semi-regular occurrence in rural communities around NSW and Queensland.
"Belt Out The Big Dry will see us all belting out a stack of well-known classic tunes over a chat and a beer - and you don't need any experience or musical talent to be part of it," Lucy said.
"It's a great opportunity to get friends and family together for a bit of a different, low-cost night out - and importantly, taking a few hours of reprieve from the daily grind."

Lucy said singing together is becoming more widely recognised for its positive impact on our mental health and wellbeing.
"Our recent events in the Gunnedah area have seen our fantastic crowds with smiles on their faces through the whole night," she said.
"That's what Belt Out The Big Dry is all about."
Belt Out The Big Dry is free to attend but places are limited - those who pre-register will receive a free soft drink, beer or house wine courtesy of the Royal Hotel. Pre-register online on Eventbrite, or by texting your name and email address to 0428 421 099.
Whilst the night isn't geared towards children, all ages are welcome.
The event, sponsored by The Royal Hotel Moree, C&W Financial Services and Amanda Brooks at Art by Brooks Gallery, will start at 7.30pm on Saturday, November 9, with singing to kick off at 8pm and will go until 9.30pm. Pub meals will be available from 6pm (bookings essential).
