Sinclair started Palace Street and Swoop in the $12,000 Tooheys Class 1 Handicap (1000m) and wasn't surprised they ran one-two, Palace Street running down Swoop for a head win.
Craig Martin's Raided was a length and a half away third.
"I said to dad (Phillip Sinclair) this morning, don't be surprised if they quinella the race," Peter Sinclair said.
"They've both been working well."
It was Sinclair's ninth win in the Hunter and North West Racing Association this season and leaves him level with Scone's Paul Messara in second spot in the trainer's premiership behind Kris Lees (17).
Belinda Hodder rode Palace Street and she said the gelding "didn't want to win again".
"He was half looking about again," she said.
It was Palace Street's second career win at his 17th start while Swoop has won two of his 14 starts.
Both will be backing up at the Moree meeting this Friday, November 1, with nine others set to feature.
Sinclair backed up his success at Gunnedah with Free Billy taking out Sunday's 1600m Coonabarabran Cup.
