The Queensland barefoot skiers will be returning to Moree next month for a Barefoot Waterski Tournament over the October long weekend.

Up to 40 of the best barefoot skiers in the country will descend on Moree for the tournament from October 5 to 7, including the Australian jump champion, and the overall male and female champions.
The competition will comprise of three categories in jump, trick and slalom.

"It's pretty impressive to watch. Coming out and watching that jump champion will definitely be worth having a look at," Moree Water Ski Club events coordinator Angus Croft said.
"It'll be going for most of the day each day, depending on how weather conditions go.
"It's free to come and watch. We encourage people to come out and have a look at what's happening at the park, our current progress.
"See some of Australia's best skiers. It'll be a good chance to come and get out there."
Additionally, the barefooters will also be holding a come and try coaching day for anyone who wants to learn how to barefoot ski or improve their skills.
"Australian class barefooters will be doing coaching for anyone in the community who wants to come out and give it a go, either learn barefoot or get better at it," Croft said.
Croft said the Queensland barefooters are looking forward to returning to Moree.
"They're pretty stoked about coming," he said.
"These barefooters have been saying it's one of the best sites in Australia to do what they do.
"This round is a bit of a run to see if they can host national tournaments here."
