Up against C&W, Dippers prevailed 3-2 in a very exciting contest.
"It was a very close game," Moree Hockey Association secretary Rosalie Peacey said.
Following the season finale, a presentation was held where the 2019 award winners were announced.
Tim James won the grand final Gail Hitchens Best and Fairest, while Alice Cameron took out the 2019 Highest Goal Scorer. Liz Gulliver was awarded the overall Best and Fairest for an outstanding season.
In a bid to help improve numbers, Moree Hockey Association introduced a mixed competition in 2019.
"It actually worked really well so we're hoping we can continue that next year with more men which would be really good," Peacey said.
"Everyone seemed to think it was a great idea. It worked well. The feedback that I got was pretty good."
With four teams competing this season, the hope is to continue to grow the sport in Moree and for more teams to enter the competition in 2020.
"Let's hope we can move forward bigger and better next year," Peacey said.
