An 11-goal haul to Kangaroos forward Elliott Bowen handed the Tamworth side their first win of the season in the 21-15-141 to 9-13-67 victory.
The Kangaroos raced out to an early lead, kicking six goals to the Suns one in the opening quarter.
The Suns wrestled back some of the momentum in the second quarter, but some inaccuracy in front of goal letting them down, going into the break down 10-8-68 to 3-8-26.
From there, the Kangaroos were able to kick away in the second half, with Bowen constantly providing a great target in the forward line.
The Suns toiled hard, but ultimately the Kangaroos proved to be too strong in the 74-point win.

It was a solid effort from the Suns, given they were staring at a forfeit on Friday morning, with a large number of players missing due to other sporting commitments.
"We struggled for numbers with our league boys playing in the local derby," Suns coach Eric Faulkner said.
"Once again we were able to scrape together a competitive side."
Zak Bozanich played his first game in a Suns uniform and was outstanding, kicking three goals and being named Moree's best on ground.
Suns juniors Danny Brown, Nick Fisher and Corey Baker were also strong.
"Luckily we had some juniors in Tamworth for rep training that were all able to help out. All juniors were in our best," Faulkner said.
The Suns won't have to wait long to try to avenge Saturday's loss as they prepare to face the Kangaroos again this weekend, to make up for the round three fixture which didn't go ahead due to field issues.
While it's scheduled as a Suns home game, the two sides will face off at Narrabri's Leitch Oval.
Faulkner said it's going to be tough once again with the Moree Boomerangs set to play on Saturday once again this week.
"That leaves eight or nine league players unavailable for Suns selection again this week," he said.
Faulkner is hoping the AFL North West and Country Rugby League can hold more discussions before draws are released or changed in future years, with a large number of Suns players being involved in multiple sports.
"Hopefully everyone can get back on the track this week and we can get a win in our catch up game meeting the Roos in Narrabri."
