The Mitchell Bartram Memorial Game is ready for its fifth installment, all in memory of a young man whose life was tragically taken in one swift act of violence.

Mitchell’s family have created a trust in loving memory of a brother and son, to carry on a legacy of Mitchell’s love of sports.

Anyone is welcome to head down to Rigby Oval in Pallamallawa on Saturday to lace up the boots and take part in a match between the Mitchell Bartram Memorial Team and the Moree Boomerangs, or just enjoy and support the game and the plethora of activities that will be happening.

The winning side will be be awarded with the Mitchell Bartram Memorial Shield.

There will also be a presentation for the Mitchell Bartram Man of the Match, as well as the Aaron O'Neill Best Scorer and the Tom Rhode Encouragement Award, in memory of another two men who were tragically taken too soon.

Headspace will be holding a stall running games for the children such as tug of war, footy throwing and jenga.

There will be a jumping castle available, lolly drops, face painting and raffles for purchase, as well as a barbecue run by Warialda Lions Club.

The event is all about remembering Mitchell and promoting messages against bullying and violence, using the #saynotobullying and #violenceisneverok hashtags.

"What we really want to focus on was educating ourselves against all forms of bullying including online. We want to make people aware," Mitchell Bartram Memorial Trust Inc. president and Mitchell's sister Holly Bartram said.

"If we can have the slightest impact, another family won't have to go through this."

Bartram said the entire event is just a great way to remember Mitchell and his "cheeky smile".

The game will kick off at 3pm at Rigby Oval in Pallamallawa on Saturday, March 16.
