The Peacocks defeated the Magpies 49-44 during the top-of-the-table round seven grand final clash at Ron Harborne Oval on Wednesday, December 12.
Meanwhile, The Turtles finished in third place after winning on forfeit to Mostly Humane, who came fourth as a result.
The fifth/sixth place clash between Young Guns and Clontarf Yongahs also ended in a forfeit, with Young Guns taking the win and claiming fifth place while Clontarf finished sixth.
Finally, the Usual Suspects defeated Southside Goannas 27-15, with the two sides taking out seventh and eighth place respectively.
Moree Suns AFL9s competition manager Ash Jones said overall the competition was a success, with many people improving as the weeks progressed, despite a drop in numbers for the finals.

“It went pretty well for our first one,” he said.
“It was a bit of a shame to see some of the numbers drop off, especially in the finals, but it was due to the time of year with lots of people having other commitments.
“But overall it turned out very well. It was well-run and drew a lot of interest in the community towards the club.”
Jones said he’d received only positive feedback about the competition.
“A lot of people enjoyed it,” he said.
“I haven’t heard any negative feedback about the game.”
The club are now considering running another competition next year before the start of the 2019 AFL season.
“Hopefully we can do it again and have it bigger and better and draw more people into the sport,” Jones said.
“It’d be good to have a few more teams and run it longer than seven weeks next time.”
Moree Suns have begun pre-season training over the past few weeks. Training will resume in the New Year on Monday, January 14. There will be two training sessions a week over January, every Monday and Wednesday at Moree Secondary College Carol Avenue campus at 6.30pm.
Jones said anyone is welcome to come down for some great fitness and to develop their AFL skills, without any pressure to commit to playing the regular season next year.
