The junior Suns were out to make amends after the narrow loss a fortnight ago after some stellar play by the Saints and some inaccuracies off the boot.
It seemed roles reversed as the junior Suns came out strong with a tight first quarter seeing Moree slot three goals to the Saints’ one, and strong defence seeing the Saints posting five behinds.
A stronger second quarter by the Saints kept the Suns to one goal however behinds became costly for them as the Saints took a narrow 3.12-30 to 4.5-29 lead into half time.
The Suns came back blazing, scoring six goals in the third and a total of 10 for the second half and holding the Saints to six goals in the second term.
Great performances were put in by our two debutantes Brad and Jack and an amazing effort all round.
Final score saw the Suns 14.12-96 defeat the Saints 9.19-73. Well done boys.
The Suns juniors are currently sitting in second place on the ladder, behind the Saints.
