”It ended up being a really competitive game on both sides. Both teams controlled the ball well and showed great counterattack,” Morees Team One’s coach Darrel Smith said.
Both teams held their ground to bring the score to nil-all at half-time.
A 30th minute goal from Team Two’s Matthew Urquarht during second half tipped the score in the team’s favour and secured a 1-0 win.

“Matthew took a long shot and the ball went right over the keeper’s head,” Smith said.
Smith paid credit to teammate Ken Wright, who transitioned from Team One to Two to play mid-field.
“He really bolstered the team’s mid-field and showed great ability to switch plays.”
Moree Team One has accumulated a win and two losses since the start of the season. Moree Two has collected a bye, draw and a win.
Moree Team One will have a bye this weekend, but Moree Team Two will face off against Narrabri Crossroads at the competitor’s home ground.
“The team drew with Wee Waa, which is the team that beat Narrabri earlier in the season. We’re feeling confident about the game,” Smith said.
