It was their most successful golf day ever, with the jersey auction alone raising just under $55,000 – about $20,000 more than last year.
The highest selling jersey was first grade number 15 which went for a whopping $5,000.
Bulls president Paul King said the club was over the moon with the day’s success.
“The outstanding generosity of our sponsors and the community of Moree was amazing,” he said.

“We’re really impressed by our sponsors, we cannot thank them enough for giving us such a great start to the season.”
King said the money raised in the jersey auction will go a long way in making life a little easier for players this year.
“It’ll go towards the general costs of running the club, new training gear, it’ll offset registration and insurance of players, player zone association fees; it helps out with a lot of things,” he said.
The Bulls players and supporters were joined this year by two special guests – former Wallabies captain Stirling Mortlock and Big Sports Breakfast host Jimmy Smith, who were auctioned off to play for a team each.
The $2,000 raised from that auction will all go to Moree Junior Rugby Union Club.
“It was really good to have Jimmy and Stirling there,” King said.
“They both enjoyed themselves very much.”
King would like to thank the Bulls’ sponsors for their generosity, as well as David Watts who conducted both auctions and put the club in contact with Jimmy Smith and Stirling Mortlock, and Richard Officer for the organisation of the golf day itself.
