Club 2400 Moree Physie and Dance will have a large number of students representing them on the national stage next month, after 12 juniors recently qualified for nationals.

Pearl Humphries (5), Savannah Ware (5), Kylah Munro (5), Gracie-May Turner (6), Kierah Munro (7), Haylie Turner (8), Sophie Lai (9), Ruby Humphries (10), Lily Bell (10), Chelsea Bourke (11), Bella McGowan (12) and Lucy Carter (12) each qualified for the Australian Physie and Dance Association (ADPA) national finals in their respective age divisions at the Junior (ages five to 12) Zone Championships, held in Tamworth on October 14 and 15.
Club 2400 also had some fantastic results in the team events with the five and six years teams taking out second and fourth place, the nine and 10 team placing third, and the 11 and 12 team bringing home second.
The 12 juniors will now head to Sydney on Saturday, November 11 for the national finals, to be held at the Concourse Theatre Chatswood.
Club 2400 also has 12 ladies who have qualified for nationals, with their finals to be held in Sydney on November 25 and 26.
In three weeks, 14 of the club’s seniors will travel to Sydney to compete and perform at their best in the qualifying heats to gain a spot for nationals. If successful they will compete at the Sydney Opera House.
“We wish them all great performances,” head teacher Pam Burley said.
On Sunday, October 23, Club 2400 held their annual club competition in Moree which saw some spectacular dance performances.
Fallyn Munro took out the major gong, being awarded Overall Club Champion.
Meanwhile, Pearl Humphries was named Junior Club Champion, Karleee Briggs won Senior Club Champion, Acaysha Haddad was awarded Ladies Champion and Lauren Saunders took out Marching Champion.
The club also made a special presentation to the 12 juniors and 12 ladies competing in nationals next month.
Club teachers Pam Burley and Jenny Mulligan are so proud of the club’s achievements and individual personal best performances and thank all members for their support and sportsmanship shown.
