We arrived in Moree last Thursday and having never visited Moree before we were not familiar with shopping and parking, however on exiting a supermarket with groceries and asking for directions to Balo Street, a women overheard me asking directions to exit the car park by walking with two arm full of groceries, and she very graciously offered to drive me to our car and caravan towards the other end of the street, even though my husband was on his way to meet me, the offer was very much appreciated.
We have been in the area for a family reunion and while in Moree wanted to visit the Moree Cemetery, we needed to get the location of some family graves and was having difficulty finding the Council office to make our enquiry, on asking a man in the street dressed in council clothing he directed me to the Council offices then when I mentioned my enquiry to him he was able to direct me to the local cemetery to see Norman as he also worked there and they had a records there and Norman would be able to help me. Norman was very kind and helpful with our enquiry, he was able to direct us to the location of several graves of family members. The Moree Cemetery is a credit to the staff with its manicured grounds and flowers, row and section markings, it is one of the best we have seen in a long time. It has been very encouraging to visit your town and find that our visit was made so much easier and enjoyable by the friendship of the locals.
Thank you we will be back.
