I am a visitor to the district, having been born in Moree and grew up here, but left 50 years ago when married.
Returning for one of my regular visits as I have children and family here, I was unfortunately involved in an accident in which I broke my femur.
I was in the Rowena area at the time of the accident.
I wish to make a public acknowledgement of the care and concern I have received from the staff of NSW Health, both in getting treatment for my injury and in the rehabilitation since.
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at all centres, ambulance officers inserting cannulas in the dark outside by the light of a torch accompanied by a million moths, as well as staff from Collarenebri, Dubbo, Coonabarabran and Moree hospitals, the care givers in the home after release from hospital, not to mention the love and concern, and practical help of all my family.
Thanks to you all, I am well on the way to making a full recovery, I hope.
