Fairview residents celebrated the start of Christmas festive season with the golf club on Monday.

Veteran golfers were busy on the barbecue preparing a delicious luncheon, whilst the lady golfers made the salads and the Golf Club chipped in by shouting free drinks for the residents.
Everyone gathered together in the dining room, covered in Christmas decorations, and enjoyed a nice meal.
Afterwards a few residents won lucky door prizes and were given presents to celebrate Christmas before heading out on a golf buggy to inspect the course.
Local veterans golfers, lady golfers and the Golf Club have been hosting a Christmas luncheon for Fairview residents for the past two years, as well as a special Christmas in July do.
“It’s all about giving back to the community. The residents love getting out and about, and we all mingle together and it’s just nice sharing a delicious lunch.
“Plus the day is completely free for the residents,” lady golfer, Marlene McLeod said.
