The open day provided potential students the opportunity to come in and meet the teachers and current students to discuss training options and receive one-on-one course advice.
There was information and course taster sessions running throughout the day, campus tours and practical demonstrations, as well as a luncheon for TAFE’s business partners.
Moree TAFE’s manager customer support Jodi Ritchie said the day was an opportunity for the community to come and have a look at the campus, get a taste of what TAFE has to offer and begin the enrollment process for courses beginning in semester two at the end of July.
“The whole day is to engage all sectors with TAFE including job agencies, council, private businesses and educational services,” she said.
Moree TAFE offers courses ranging from trades in construction and automotive to business, fashion, beauty, aged care, childcare and Aboriginal and Torres Strait cultural arts.
All TAFE NSW courses are also offered online, so people have the option to study whatever they choose.
TAFE NSW also offers other support services for numeracy and literacy and tertiary preparation.
Ms Ritchie said Moree TAFE offers flexibility and a wide range of courses from a certificate I to advanced diplomas.
“Whether you are looking for a career you love, skills to score a promotion at work, or a vocation change, TAFE NSW offers more than 1,200 on-campus and online courses, providing flexibility that allows students to balance their study, work and family commitments,” Ms Ritchie said.
“We provide skills for today’s jobs and future careers.”
Moree TAFE is open all week to anyone wishing to find out more about what TAFE has to offer.
