Last week Ms Esten’s business Rabbit Hop Films was named one of 10 ‘regional online heroes’ from more than 150 applications from all over Australia.
“I was thrilled, I couldn’t believe it,” Ms Estens said.
Rabbit Hop Films is dedicated to telling stories about the land and rural life and Ms Estens said that wouldn’t be possible without a strong online presence.
“Being based in Moree hasn’t held me back at all,” she said.
“Building a presence on social media is how I get all my work – from people seeing the videos I’ve done on social media or word of mouth.”
As a finalist, Ms Estens will be flown to Sydney’s Google headquarters on December 4 to participate in a unique masterclass to learn to grow her business further. The winner will be announced at a cocktail event at Sydney Harbour on December 6.
