Club president Kevin Rigby predicted at lunchtime on Tuesday that the Tradies would beat Frackno in the A grade grand final.
In the B grade game, he said he tipped the CMW to hold up against Chesterfields but only because they had a few younger players.
“It will be a very close game,’’ he said.
But then it’s time for people to sign up for the summer competition which will start in three weeks’ time.
About 16 or 18 teams are expected.with all levels of experience catered for. Games are played Tuesday night at the club grounds.
Each team pays $250 for the season as long as they pay before game one, otherwise the cost is $300.
Each player needs to be a member of the services club and membership costs about $7.
The summer competition has four grades and if individual players are looking for a game or a team to play with, they can contact Mr Rigby on 0458270775.
“There are a few friendly teams and a few serious teams so we’ll match them with the right group,’’ he said.
Each team has seven players on the field at one time and three of those players must be women.
