“We just made some fundamental errors, we dropped the ball at key times and couldn't get out of our own half for the first 35 minutes,” Bulls first grade captain Ben Carrigan said.
Bulls tries went to Kyle O’Connor, Jordie Cosh and Angus Boileu, and Jo de Dassell.
Simon Clarke and Josh Phillips scoring two tries for the Highlanders.
“I think the boys played with more determination, their support play was good and they played to their strengths which made the difference,”Highlanders president Peter Davidson said.
“They were really hungry for territory, and they were pretty good over the ball, most aspects of the game was as good as we’ve seen from Inverell this year,” he said.
“Hopefully Pirates beat Walcha this weekend and we finish in third which means we will head into the finals in third place.” Bulls president Paul King said.
