MOREE’S Men Shed is looking for space to grow. The men have been at home in the Showgrounds, but size and the threat of flooding have inspired the creative members to seek out new premises.

Top on their list is an existing building in an industrial area where they can make some noise without disturbing the neighbours, or a bare patch of land to erect a new shed.
“I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful work Men’s Sheds do across country NSW,” Member for the Northern Tableland Adam Marshall said.
“By bringing men together in a social environment and providing them with a purpose, Men’s Sheds play an extremely important role in combating issues such as loneliness, which can be a trigger for mental illness.” Mr Marshall said the well-regarded community groups are a place where local men form friendships as they collaborate on a diverse range of projects.”
Moree mayor Katrina Humphries agreed.
“All men need a shed, it's a great place for blokes to get together and share knowledge” she said.
The men have contributed several recent projects to the Moree community, including wooden crosses on display at Anzac Day, signs for Moree on a Plate, and Showground stairs.
