The federal government's recent announcement of a $1 billion Clean Energy Innovation Fund as well as the retention of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) and Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), could impact Moree Mr Marshall said.
“Things are very different now without Tony Abbott knocking stuff on the head saying climate change isn’t real,” Mr Marshall said.
“The Moree Solar Farm is now complete thanks to $100 million from ARENA.
“That investment will pay great dividends for the Moree community.
“It will also give confidence to invest even more in the Moree region,” the MP said.

Mr Marshall said the government’s announcement would give greater certainty and security to the burgeoning renewable energy sector, including a number of projects well underway in the Northern Tablelands.
“It is very welcome news and with several major renewable energy generation projects already or soon to be underway in this electorate - the Moree Solar Farm, Glen Innes White Rock Wind Farm, Sapphire Wind Farm and the White Rock Solar Farm - as well as being the home for Uralla's Z-NET project, the decision ensures future growth.
"Rural and regional communities are well-placed to join in renewable energy development of large-scale projects and I look forward to continuing to champion them.
“Moree is the perfect place for these projects and there is no reason we couldn’t see another solar farm there in the future,” Mr Marshall said.
