It was always on the cards, as Turnbull, the perennial opportunist was sent into Parliament to achieve certain objectives, and now he’s got the top job. It took a few false starts, but he finally made it.
It reminds me of King Alfred of England who fought the Danes and was unsuccessful many times.
But getting inspiration from a spider building a web (the spider succeeded on the seventh try) he persevered, and on the last attempt defeated the Danes in battle and secured his position to the English throne.
Alfred went on be one of England’s greatest kings, earning the title: King Alfred the Great. And there, my dear friends, ends the similarity between Alfred and Malcolm Turnbull.
