After last week’s rain organisers were worried about needing to cancel, but as the weather cleared, and after juggling a few fields around, the carnival went ahead and was a “massive” success.
Players travelled from as far as Scone, Gunnedah and Tamworth.
Secretary, Justin Barnes, said about 500 children attended, plus parents, which was great for the town’s economy.
A score wasn’t kept on the day, and Barnes said the games played were “just for fun”.
Volunteers from the seniors also helped referee, in the canteen and on the barbecue.
