Trevor Vale uploaded his commentary to Facebook asking people who agreed to share and tens of thousands did.
“I honestly believe people needed a kick in the guts about Anzac Day and all of a sudden this is that kick in the guts, now people have woken up to themselves,” he said.
“I’ve had messages from people saying they’ve never been to one but now I’m going next weekend because of what you said.
“I understand if people are working and stuff like that but if you’re making an excuse as to why you can’t go, get out of bed and go pay your respects.”
Anzac Day services, when possible, are something that should be attended by everyone of all ages.

Working on the Champion’s special Anzac publication has been highly rewarding.
The information shared with us has been so moving.
We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we have.
