Everything gets underway on Friday morning with the horse events. The pavilions will also be open along with the animal farm, Anzac display, and of course, sideshow alley.
Friday night the Gill Bros will entertain with their annual rodeo which will also host the official opening during half time when the 2015 showgirl winner will be announced.
The judging took place on Saturday with stewardess Jane Rohde saying the girls were of “very high class”.
“We had a lovely day and the hospitality of John and Robyn Amos of Woolaway Wines was exceptional,” she said.
This year Moree will host showgirl Ellie Stephens of Lismore who recently received the state crown at the Sydney Royal Show.
On Saturday the gates won’t open until 11am with everything to get underway from midday in respect of Anzac Day events.
There’s plenty to get involved in such as the pet show, whipcracking, farmers’ challenge, tug of war, ute barrel race, show ‘n’ shine, or the junior showgirl competition.
This year you can try your luck on a mechanical bull or if you’re after a more ‘friendly’ bovine try the milking cow competition.
There’ll be plenty to watch such as the heavy harness, woodchop, grand parade, six-bar jump, dog high jump, cross-cut verse chainsaw challenge and of course the always popular demolition derby and fireworks on Saturday night. The weekend will close with the horse events and yard dog trials finishing up on Sunday morning.
