The Bulls finished 29-27 up in greasy conditions after rain hit the field 30 minutes before kick-off.
But it was Walcha who scored first with a try following after Moree conceded possession in its own half.
The Bulls applied some sustained pressure which eventually resulted in a well executed try to Byron Birch via a 15 metre rolling maul from a line-out.
But further handling errors cost them again when the Bulls conceded another try shortly after.
Moree’s forwards then stepped up to keep the ball in tight, drawing in Walcha defenders which created space for the backs to score through Ben Legg out wide prior.
The try, just prior to half time, reduced Walcha’s lead to 14-12
The away team conceded a try midway through the second half which was converted to make it 21-12, before Moree struck back through a Ben Colley try.
Moree squared the game with 10 minutes to go through a Jordan Cosh try which made it 24-24.
The game looked all but over when Walcha kicked a penalty to again go ahead 27-24.
But when Moree had their own penalty within kicking range they chose to go for the line.
Chris Clyne won the line-out and the forwards set a maul five metres out.
Matt Wannan and John Adams broke off the maul to the blind side with Adams scoring the winning try for Moree to hit the lead for the first time and finish the game 29-27.
Moree also received bonus points for scoring three tries.
Points were awarded to the best players on the pitch with Ben Colley given three, Jordan Cosh two and Matt Wannan and Chris Clyne one each.
Will Carrigan and Alex Corliss also played well on their debuts.
The Walcha reserves forfeited, handing the Bulls those points as well.
The Bulls host Gunnedah next week.
