We have been living in the same house for close to four years.
My next door neighbour has had three dogs in that period, two as far as I know have been impounded and euthanised.
Now the current dog, a truly beautiful ridgeback, is once again left to its own devices in the yard.
Dogs that are lonely bark and bark and bark.
I’m slowly but surely going crazy trying to study, listening to that dog bark and bang against the the fence.
We have had to put an inner fence in our yard to stop my dogs from barking at her and fighting via the fence.
Then we have other residents in Jacaranda Drive... their dogs get out and drive all the other dogs including mine berserk.
I have phoned the rangers on numerous occasions but nothing seems to get done.
What do I do now?
The responsibility for these dogs falls squarely on the owners.
And really, people who are guilty, wake up and take responsibility.
I’m over it.
