Just how much support that is we will see tonight. If we can close the margin from 27 points to below 20 than we will be celebrating tonight."

"I'm about spreading a message and being a link between city and country. I represent a farmers voice from the North West in the Greens party room," She told us this morning.
She said the election represented a historic shift towards the Greens in traditionally safe Nationals seats.
"This election has given people the opportunity to vote for alternatives in the Upper and Lower House. Particularly a balanced upper house provides for greater debate and better policy and if the Greens gain a representation there we will work with farmers to protect our land and water against the fossil fuel industry."

"I've enjoyed the campaign. But having only been in Parliament 21 months it's been a 21 month campaign so I'm looking forward to a result this evening."

"This has been a very positive and constructive campaign in the Northern Tablelands where the discussion has been focused on policies not personalities, and I think voters appreciate that.
"Whoever emerges as our representative on Sunday, they're going to get a very complex and nuanced reading from the electorate from a range of directions and they're going to have a lot of thinking to do about how to represent all those different streams within the electorate."
