The sports star came home with five ribbons from five events and the title of the under sevens runner-up, with his trophy yet to arrive.
Warrener competed against athletes from Tamworth, Armidale, Glen Innes, Manilla, Inverell and Moree.
He participated in the 70m, 100m and 200m races along with shotput and long jump.
Warrener said his favourite events were racing.
Mum, Megan, couldn’t be more proud of his efforts.
“This is his first year involved with Little Athletics.
“We just want him to do his best and hopefully beat his times so it’s really pleasing for Harry to come home with ribbons and a trophy,” she said.
It’s a special occasion for the family with Harry being the eldest child and everyone experiencing travelling to sport events for the first time.
“He got up and shook everyone’s hand at the end so I was very proud of him,” Megan said.
Warrener will compete at the zone athletics carnival in Inverell next month and if he places first in four events he will be selected to compete at regionals in Tamworth in January.
If he places first or second there, he will qualify to compete at state level in Sydney.
He will compete at another carnival in Glen Innes this weekend.
