President, Simon Dunlop, said it was an exciting time to be involved with the club.
“The depth in the club is great as seen by the under 18s over the last three seasons and also with reserve grade this year,” he said.
As they wind up the 2014 season and start to look towards 2015 there will be some faces which will not be part of the club next year.
First grade coach Damien Kelly will have a year off, reserve grade co-coach Josh Connell heads to Brisbane and after three years in charge of the under 18 side, Kylie Dawson will step aside as coach.
Dawson was humbled to be presented with the President’s Award for her involvement with the club.
“There are more deserving people of this award, but I’m honoured,” she said.
Sinclair George was awarded as the best and fairest ahead of captain James Readford for the under 18 side who fell one game short of back to back grand final wins.
The Aaron O’Neile Memorial Award for the best team man for all grades was presented to Maciu Latabua while Rob Selosse won the Kalua Cup as best new player.
The Rex Greer Good Bloke Award was presented to Sylvester Joseph, while in reserve grade Ben Day beat Jared Snook and Will Hiscox to win the best and fairest, while Luther Williams was the most dedicated.
Reserve grade captain, Mick Grant, said it was incredible to have such a successful year.
“To win one premiership is difficult enough, but to do it back to back is incredible,” he said.
In first grade, captain Ben Colley won the best and fairest ahead of Ciaran O’Gorman and Mat Wannan.
Peter Copeman won the Clubman of the Year trophy after being recognised for his hard work throughout the year.
“You’re the rock of this club,” Colley said.
