The day was the first of its kind for the year and was hosted by the Upper Hunter club with clubs from Merewether, Waratah, Hunter Valley, Lakeview, Wallsend Novo, Lake Macquarie, Speers Point, Berowra and Ingleburn in attendance.
BJP head teacher, Sam Cosgrove, said it was a good day for the club with some good results.
“Because it was the first competition of the year we didn’t know what to expect, but all things considered, the girls all did well,” she said.
The Moree club was successful in all age groups from Talitha Byrnes’ fourth spot to Karen Biggs in the over 43 ladies competition.
“We took 24 competitors and nine of the girls picked up places,” she said.
In the six years, Talitha Byrnes finished fourth while Alison Baird and Paige Bowerman competed in the seven years age group.
In the eight years group Chelsea Bourke finished equal fifth while Hayley Heffernan and Chloe Nicholls competed.
Lucy Carter finished second in the nine years.
Olivia Mihill finished fourth, Laura Penfold finished fifth in the 10 years group with Madelyn Penfold and Courtney Brazel and Marnie Shelton competed in the 11 years.
Grace Carter and Georgia Dennison were in the 12 years along with Samantha Hetherington and Danella Sweeney in the 13 years age group.
Gemma Mihill finished fifth in the 14 years group.
In the seniors, Abby Price finished second in the second year Seniors while Sam Cosgrove also registered a second place
Fallyn Munro and Fayth Munro competed in the Under 33 Ladies along with Karen Biggs in the over 43 ladies division.
Cosgrove said the BJP 20th anniversary interclub competition would be held in Moree on August 9.
