The comment came after director of engineering services, Ian Dinham, made a presentation to the council about the scheme.
He said recapping on the scheme was hard as no information or statistics were provided to council, as per the agreement with the Department of Transport.
Cr Price said she supported the scheme, however she was disappointed with the lack of support from the department.
Councillor von Drehnen said he believed the department needed to be put on notice.
“I believe we do need a scheme, because potentially it can be a good thing, but Transport is not doing their job. I think that if the Department of Transport do not answer our questions then we should not support the scheme,” he said.
The council decided to write a letter to the Department of Transport regarding the unanswered questions and lack of data.
