Hammond will take on Toowoomba’s Kris George on October 31 in a bout which pits two undefeated boxers against each other.
It is believed the two will fight for the WBA Oceania Welterweight Title which Hammond holds after defeating Alfredo Rodolfo Blanco earlier this month in Moree.
George has six wins from six starts, with five of those coming by way of knock-out.
The Toowoomba product is rated as the number five welterweight in the country by the Australian National Boxing Federation, with Hammond one place further back in sixth.
