Bronwyn Speraim said this establishment was a branch of the original Tent Embassy in Canberra.
“We feel it’s time to make our movement and to honour and respect our history,” Ms Speraim said.
The group are fighting for sovereignty.
They want self-governance, better law and order, health and education, and change - “right here, right now”.
“We are looking for stronger futures,” Greg Hoy said.
A corroboree will be hosted at the Tent Embassy tomorrow from 11am.
This will include the lighting of the sacred fire, cleansing and welcoming of the Goomeroi people and guests, and talks on law and order, education, culture, and protecting country.
The group said they would stay at the Tent Embassy until sovereignty was acknowledged.
“We could be here for 40 years,” Ms Speraim said.
“The fire must never go out.”
