Hamish Blake returns as host, alongside judge Ryan "Brickman" McNaught, one of only 14 certified LEGO professionals in the world.
The contestants vie for the title of Australia's next LEGO Masters and the prize of $100,000.
Blake says like a lot of kids, he was into LEGO from age five to about 15.
"I didn't really come back to it until I had my own children," he says.
Blake says LEGO lasts the test of time because what it stands for will never go out of fashion.
"You get to hold it in your hands. I love just sitting there not knowing what you are going to build.
"I am a sucker for something that doesn't look like LEGO, either through the idea or how it's built.
"And I am amazed all the time with what they [contestants] come up with under pressure.
"The goal for any challenge is for the contestants to be able to build it and put their own spin on it.
"If it breaks in the first hour it doesn't matter. It's a great test of people's character and watching them fight back from the brink is fantastic."
Wondering when the comedian, host, guest star, podcaster and radio man has time to build LEGO with his children?
"I spent between Christmas and New Year building the Frozen castle. But if you ask my daughter who built it, she will say she did."
And what does Hamish Blake love most about LEGO?
"There are no rules, no age limits. The only limit is your imagination," he says.
