Game of Thrones fans were treated to the teaser trailer for the show's prequel, House of the Dragon, this morning.
And it was a welcome reprieve from the political 'Game of Thrones' happening in NSW lately.
Today the NSW National Party crowned their new leader after former Deputy Premier John Barilaro resigned last week.
His deputy Paul Toole won his new title against the NSW Nationals' longest-serving MP, Melinda Pavey.
"This to me is a real honour," Mr Toole said of his victory.
"But I'll tell you what, I am not focusing on it because I want to make sure that we focus on the people of this state. I want to make sure that we get back to work and it's business as usual."
Hopefully, this will be the last political shuffle-around for NSW Parliament - until new Premier Dominic Perrottet chooses his new cabinet, that is.
In good news for the folks of NSW, it looks like the state has reached its 70 per cent double-dose adult vaccination target days in advance of 'freedom day' on October 11.
It may not have been a race, but NSW residents really took to the vaccine track with gusto.
There have also been some changes to the arrangements on the border between VIC, the ACT and NSW.
People who aren't in lockdown will be able to travel between the three states with some conditions in place.
Last week former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian resigned after it was revealed that she was the subject of an ICAC investigation.
Now it seems Victorian Premier Dan Andrews could be the subject of an investigation by the state's anti-corruption watchdog.
Andrews remained tight-lipped when questioned by journalists after The Age revealed that the Independent Broad-based Anti-Corruption Commission (IBAC) was looking into his interactions with the firefighter's union.
Victoria's COVID-19 stats were also a little lower today, with the state clocking up more than 1400 cases.
It was a doughnut day for Queensland, however, with zero cases of COVID-19 recorded in the community.
Australians hoping to secure a home loan could soon find it a little tougher to qualify.
The country's banking regulator, APRA, will require borrowers to show that they can keep up with mortgage payments even if rates rise by 3 per cent or more.
It seems to be getting tougher and tougher for some Aussies to buy a home in an ever more competitive and expensive, market.
The Australian dream could be further out of reach for some...but at least there's a Game of Thrones spin-off coming, right?
